I was delighted to be shortlisted for the Hisense x VIDAA Artwork Competition and attended the unveiling event at Dolby House. I got to meet the lovely Kate Bryan (art historian and curator) who was the judge (thank you for selecting my piece!) – as well as some of the other artists, and maybe sipped a cocktail or two….
The prize ( as well as some cash and a Hisense canvas TV) was to have your artwork professionally colour graded in Dolby Vision and then added to the VIDAA Art platform, available in homes all across the UK.
The 20 shortlisted pieces were printed and framed on display and then were also on display on several Hisense TV screens around the room, including this giant one, where I managed to get a photo when my piece popped up ( thank you Hannah for taking the photo!).
I entered this piece as it is from a short film I made so it was already in the right format, and also because I thought the colours would look fantastic on a screen and they certainly did, wow!
It was an honour to be shortlisted and many congratulations to the winner Francisco Cortes, who’s gorgeous piece I didn’t manage to capture but looked stunning on the screens!
A lovely evening and a great way to start the year!
If you would like to purchase a print of this image, I have added it to my shop here
